We Fall and Rise

We Fall and Rise
By Curt Vaughn

People Rise and Standards Fall
Seeing the decline of education and where one stands.
This generation is looking to its end with nothing more than vainness and confusion.  No one cares or wants to change. They all just lay the blame on histories fame of decadence and power in the one. For all who gather shall march no more but stand in line and beg and plead.  But not one shall left up the helping hand to plow the land, protect the freedoms, or build the future on these unstable grounds.  So, we question and ponder what is to come while we should be taking action and sacrifice like the generations past and the world around us.  Let, our dreams widen like the rivers once did and our goals climb the snow top peaks of excellence for if you can see the sunrise you know that your day is still yet to come.

Them Shoes

Them Shoes
By Curt Vaughn

One day we will rise and fall because our laces were tied to small
Then we will lift up our heads to the sky to look at that butterfly
Once our heads are in the clouds we can sail past the mounds
And then when we reach our destination we can start a new nation
Where Speakers Speak the Truth and Liars Create the Ruins
Building a foundation can be our goal of action against the other factions
With this in Mind lets keep the path clear for our fellow kind and
Our Dreams Will Come true we just need to get the gum off our shoes

The Ancient Mountain Lake

The Ancient Mountain Lake
By Curt Vaughn

The Blue Sky Dances with my invisible jumping dog along the deep blue edges of the cold ancient mountain lake.
Flying Squadrons of rare green-featured eagles dive bomb over ahead while crystal fish try not to glimmer too much in the sun.
The trees come down from the mountain side to drink in the rich blue waters while the beast rom into town to find the scents of a new age.
I take a boat made of purple corkscrew duck feathers to other side of the ancient lake to find a long lost cabin that belonged to the wealth finders of old.
I spot it I think but it is not covered in jewels and gold like the story told, but of mud and old tree bark as to say this is no place for any riches to be found.
I go inside and it is filled with books and writing from every corner of this great blue ball we call Earth, then I realize these where the wealthiest men of all time.
For knowledge, exploration, and adventure had filled their lives from this modest hut on a perfect sunny lake of old.

Completing the Puzzle

Completing the Puzzle
By Curt Vaughn

The pieces are scattered and only one can put them together you start with the outer pieces constructing it in your mind to get a visual representation.  Piece by piece you examine and then place in the order, which you believe, they are meant to fit, even though you may vary with the creator's representation and there are some sharp edges to overcome.  The outer shell has know come together so you can judge, admire, examine, and critique over in your mind and with others if need be.  Know you can start in on the mid section the more elaborate but most present aspects of the piece.  This section is a little more difficult, not so many straight lines for you to follow, you really have to figure out how this pieces fit together by there very presence and appearance and with noting else to guide you.  Once you get the general idea it will come together maybe not how you pictured it from the previous section but looks can be deceiving. The mid section is now complete and you have a better picture to take a stand on and ask questions about to see what the end result might be.  Finally you have the Inter Core of the piece to complete and this is the part that will help to make to piece whole again.  This section may make no sense to you at all or it might be the easiest section you ever put together it all depends on how you look at it.  Each one of the pieces is very special and unique and has their own story to tell.  Just help guide them into position so they can show you the big picture.  Wait, although the Inter Core is done there is still one piece missing and that is you, because you complete the piece, as two complete one.
