My attempt at writing a song take 1

This is my first attempt at writing lyrics to a song I have no musical ability but I thought I would give it a shot.
You Love Us
By Curtis Vaughn

Verse 1
You seek love and forgiveness
As the world seeks change

You seek help and compassion
As the lost seek strength

Pre-Chorus 1
But will you stop and see
When followers fall to there
Knees and cry out his name.

Chorus
Jesus you love us unconditionally
Jesus you love us universally
Jesus you love us ultimately
Through all space and time.

Verse 2
You listen for laughter and joy
As the world hears pain

You listen for opportunities and prayers
As the rest hear complaints

Pre-Chorus 2
But will you stop and listen
When followers fall to there
Knees and cry out his name.

Chorus
Jesus you love us unconditionally
Jesus you love us universally
Jesus you love us ultimately
Through all space and time.

Verse 3
You talk about love and forgiveness
As the world spreads the blame

You talk of a love never ending
As some will just never change

Pre-Chorus
But will you stop and fall to
your knees as you and
Cry out his name

Chorus
Jesus you love us unconditionally
Jesus you love us universally
Jesus you love us ultimately
Through all space and time

Bridge
It was when you came into
Our life’s that we realized

Just how great our God
Loved us from upon High

Tracks

Tracks

By Curt Vaughn

Gracious thoughts on lead clouds
Cover prayers with calculators of tokens
For future journeys up the escalator to my engine

My knight in invisible armor has left footprints
In my cement engine, but the footprints try to fade away,
Can they ever really disappear as long as the engine runs.

I eat at my bibles table, to gain weights of owls
While spreading the lord’s jam, on the communion bread
Our Cooking with God Collective devours every question mark

But will this bring quit time on the playground in
Our backyards, front yards, and neighbor’s fences
As long as the light can be seen through the darkness

Then your path can be seen by the dark,
So no tracks can ever be truly erased.

Harvesting Stars

Harvesting Stars

By Curt Vaughn

I ride the night sky on a blanket of fire-fly's
oh what have the stars left behind
but an ever present gaze oh my world is in such a haze.

The moment I walked into that this place.
I knew I was one step closer to that bright effervescent moon
and give me my daily bread and I can be at rest in my head?

Lets get serious for a minute and calculate
the distance I must take just to grasp the stars
from the heavens to place them next to me right here on Earth.

Oh what a harvest we could have when
dreamers like me reach beyond the village
into the ocean of all these kind souls right here and now in this place.

For God created the heavens and the Earth
therefore with his love will all truly
never be out of reach in his great universe.

My Rocket on the Crescent Moon

My Rocket on the Crescent Moon

By Curt Vaughn

Muses made of invisible musical aromas and snow cone flavors on the movie screen that are ever so tasty to eat with my dancing feet, fill me with knee bowing hope,  all the while moving me up a see through escalator towards God’s glowing crescent moon, where my prosperous blueprint of a Rocket awaits me.

I ready my craft of art gallery flip card storytelling with whispers of attic books, wavy flashbacks, thunder clouds of worship, and chatty Sunday morning breakfast companions.  My rocket will be waiting for me on that moon ready for launch after being build by the ever-growing audience that has been clapping for me since 1980.

Once I land I will take off into the Christmas light sky with the speed of homemade pies and tickle fights.   And I will shine overhead like that perfect cool summers concert where we sat in the grass talking and eating like chipmunks.

Will my Rocket and I become a new muse; all I can really pray for is that my slide projector diaries of faith can be put to good use.

Welcome to Munger Place Church

Welcome to Munger Place Church

By Curt Vaughn

Godley bricks with faith lined mortar, where light flows
From Heaven, like butterflies in slow motion night and day through
Vibrant stained glass windows to show seats that are always full
of the Holy Spirit and spirited welcoming worshippers
So, come on in and stay for a while and enjoy the smiles.

With rhythmic praises of Kate’s worshiping musical mad scientist army,
Give reveille ears of praise and highest arms of glory to the God Almighty
While Patriots of Munger Rejoice in the Parade of Musical Soldiers,
In a Revelation of the word and Revolution of the Spirit to all near and dear,
so clap your hands together and sing along while we rock out to these songs.

Come experience Riveting Paul look really Tall and Inspirational Andrew
our every guiding campus Pastor, give sermons to Teach, Seek, and Reach
All those seats each and every week, these you just can’t beat
We hope the spirit of the Lord has touched your heart this week,
And that we were able to spread the joy of Christ for you to keep

So if you are new or old to this Place well in either case,
I just want to welcome you to Munger Place.

Early morning songbirds awaken you
Rise as the new day sun greets you
And never let this day escape you

Newspaper Celling with Lights in the Attic

Newspaper Celling with Lights in the Attic.
By Curt Vaughn

I see people’s news paper headlines on my celling
I try to grab them with untied shoelaces from my books.

I cannot reach them with my teeth made of play doe.
So, I wait night and day for one to finally fall with grace.

When I get the story I eat it even if it burns my tongue.
I try rearranging the words in mouth using my apple.

I spit up what can only be seen as a half eaten light bulb.
It just blinks from time to time and only I can see it.

I try gluing trading cards from the tree house on it.
It helps some with the brightness but it is still not whole.

I toss the bulb in the hidden attic with the rest of my light.
I need a window in there so all including myself can see.

The celling never stops the presses it just finds more room.
So, why not break though it so the attic can release its light.
