Completing the Puzzle

Completing the Puzzle
By Curt Vaughn

The pieces are scattered and only one can put them together you start with the outer pieces constructing it in your mind to get a visual representation.  Piece by piece you examine and then place in the order, which you believe, they are meant to fit, even though you may vary with the creator's representation and there are some sharp edges to overcome.  The outer shell has know come together so you can judge, admire, examine, and critique over in your mind and with others if need be.  Know you can start in on the mid section the more elaborate but most present aspects of the piece.  This section is a little more difficult, not so many straight lines for you to follow, you really have to figure out how this pieces fit together by there very presence and appearance and with noting else to guide you.  Once you get the general idea it will come together maybe not how you pictured it from the previous section but looks can be deceiving. The mid section is now complete and you have a better picture to take a stand on and ask questions about to see what the end result might be.  Finally you have the Inter Core of the piece to complete and this is the part that will help to make to piece whole again.  This section may make no sense to you at all or it might be the easiest section you ever put together it all depends on how you look at it.  Each one of the pieces is very special and unique and has their own story to tell.  Just help guide them into position so they can show you the big picture.  Wait, although the Inter Core is done there is still one piece missing and that is you, because you complete the piece, as two complete one.

Christmas Winter Muse

Christmas Winter Muse
By Curt Vaughn

Cold Winds Blow and I dream of Snow
With Green light trees of rustic means
I stroll through the winter holiday bless
Of a perfect Christmas Mist that falls early
On the Dawn of a Merry Christmas to find
That perfect gift and receive a nice mistletoe kiss
With the one you love and wish all you love
a perfect holiday bless and a super new year.

Leaf Surfing

Leaf Surfing
By Curt Vaughn

Sometimes I like to miniaturize my self so I can explore the great outdoors especially in the fall when the colors are all warm and the weather is my favorite temperature of cold.

First I have to climb the biggest tree so I can start my journey at the top.  Sometimes I find a friendly squirrel that will take time out of picking up acorns to give me a lift to the top of the tree.

Once I have reached the top I find a good brown and gold covered leaf for a board that I can ride down through the tree and the forest and grass over the pound to converse with the ducks in their secret hollowed out stump of a tree by the big rolling hills.

I jump on and glide downwards barely missing the falling acorns and the dive bombing blue jays to just pull up a hair lengths from the grown although still a pretty long little distance for me it is enough of a close call to draw the attention of the wild cats.

Know racing throw the forest on a fall breeze that could die at any moment with every more curious and possible starving cats on my stem.  I just reach the water in time for the cats claws to swing at me but be to far out of reach to turn my board to mulch but enough to create a whirlwind effect that sends me twirling out of control over the water.

Just when I think my leaf is going to take leave of me another appears floating gently right next to me curiosity of my friends the squirrels in their infinite wisdom.  I jump aboard and sail on to the other side to my clandestine meeting with the ducks.  Once I get there my friend the frog tells me the ducks have gone up the hill to the park.  Too bad I did not miniaturize my leaf blower.

Ode to Nature

Ode to Nature
By Curt Vaughn

Your voice echoes the sounds of nature
And your hair grows the deep wooded forest

Your smile is the sunshine each day
And your smirk is the sweet night with or without the dimples of the moon

Your eyes reveal the big blue sky including all the swirling galaxies in their twinkle and the oceans and waters are your tears of joy that stream down your face

And finally your soul and spirit are the majestic mountains and plains that will go on forever in this swirling galaxy amongst the stars.

Breathless Deep Dark Ocean on the Horizon

Breathless Deep Dark Ocean on the Horizon
By Curt Vaughn

I see a girl dive in without even thinking into the deep dark ocean and I start to loose my breath with one glance at her.  I begin running after her not worrying about my breath or my past.

I see her off the shore towards the horizon and dive in head first with out giving it a second thought or ever even looking back.

I see her now below me in the water swimming downwards and towards the horizon.  I feel my breath slowing even more.  I continue swimming after her unaware what I am swimming towards or leaving behind.

I see her navigating rough waters and an ever-changing current
And though this would normally change my course I keep following anyways to test the same trials she is going through.

I see her passing through the difficult swim with grace and dignity.
I feel more air leaving my body and my chest getting tighter.  I press onward through the pain and difficult circumstances as she did.

I see her swimming deeper and deeper into the dark unknown.
I feel air jetting out of my body at an alarming rate.  I keep swimming unconcerned about what awaits us in the dark unknown.

I see her going faster and faster never stopping, like she knows in the darkness what she is swimming towards.  Is it the bottom I think, what could await us in the deep dark bottom of an endless ocean?

I see her swimming with such passion now as if we are near her finale goal.  I feel the last breaths I have leaving my body and my lungs starting to crumble.  I swim like a mad man now not caring about anything other than catching up to her.

I see a light now and we are both swimming towards it.
I wonder if am I dreaming or is this some kind of wonderful paradise at the bottom of this endless dark deep ocean.

I see her swim into the light and I swim along side her.
I feel my lungs disappear and my body go breathless as she takes my breath away. We swim together and realize we have been swimming together and with everyone this entire time in this endless shallow deep light ocean of the universe

I see her in the light and I realize it is the horizon, and that we were never swimming towards the bottom because there is no bottom just an endless ocean of love.
